EHR Informatics Liaison - RN Designation
·The EHR Informatics Liaison provides leadership and guidance to define system and process requirements that will optimize clinical workflow and patient care as it relates to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and technology solutions. The EHR Informatics Liaison collaborates with clinicians to maintain adoption and optimization of the technology solutions delivered to support clinical care.
·Responsible for supporting, under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Informatics and ultimately the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), the client service relationship between the Cancer Center's providers, nursing community, and ancillary associates.
The Ideal Candidate:
·Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
·Cerner experience preferred
·System design and optimization
·Perform and present departmental workflow analysis and recommendations for optimal workflow with technology based solutions
·Liaison to clinically focused committees, providers recommendation for planning, development and implementation of clinical systems.
·Collaborate with clinical departments to identify targeted metrics which determine benefits for the department .
·Lead in efforts to acquire early sponsorship for technology endeavors at all stakeholder levels: community, executive, management and clinical team
·Continually strive to improve knowledge and skills in the development of clinical systems and processes.
Credentials and Qualifications:
·Bachelor's Degree - Clinical RN (Registered Nurse) or PA (Physician's Assistant)
·Licensure - Active RN or PA in any state
·Minimum five (5) years of experience as a licensed healthcare professional AND a minimum three (3) years' experience in a Clinical Analyst or Informatics position. RN is required unless has Physician Assistant Certification.
·Required: Verifiable Electronic Health Record ("EHR") training, support, and/or implementation experience. Previous experience training and supporting clinicians, preferably with clinical information systems.
·Demonstrated ability to work with and facilitate multidisciplinary clinician groups as part of a clinical information system support.
·Excellent understanding of departmental/clinical operations, providers, nursing and ancillary workflows and terminology.
·Demonstrated leadership, shows high interest in systems improvement, (computerized or human process), strong analytical and problem solving skills; willing to work at a detailed level; good written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively understand physician and nursing requirements and identify technology and process-based solutions. Able to balance customer focus while supporting EHR initiatives and the Moffitt Cancer Center vision.
