Role Description:

The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University seek outstanding applicants for an interdisciplinary post-doctoral position on the Bioinspired Therapeutics & Diagnostics Platform in microfluidics and bioengineering, specifically for the development of Organs-on-Chips biomimetic microsystems.

In This Role You Will:

Develop and lead an interdisciplinary research project aimed at creating microengineered human organ-on-chip models to study normal physiology mimic disease and to explore their potential in drug-discovery applications.
What You’ll Need:

Ph.D. with an excellent track record of research in a field related to microtechnology or bioengineering
Interest in biological applications
Should be open-minded, creative, energetic and bring strong expertise and experimental background in at least one of the fields of microfluidics, microfabrication, bioengineering, or system engineering
Preference Will Be Given to Candidates With:

A proven ability to design and build novel microfluidic microsystems and employ them for cell biological applications
Have basic knowledge of molecular cell biology (cell culture, basic molecular biology concepts and techniques) and microscopy techniques is also required
Background in cell biology or physiology would be a plus, but is not required.
