Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide service to users in the evenings and on Sundays; check out and accept returned materials; provide assistance in the use of print and electronic resources; provide library and/or university related information and interpret library policies and procedures, including the fine and cost policy.
- Train and monitor student assistants in the performance of area work assignments and job duties.
- Supervise the closing procedures each night to ensure building is empty and secure before leaving; ensure special areas are locked/unlocked and shut down photocopiers and computer stations in public areas as needed.
- Monitor security conditions of Bracken Library; monitor building alarms and handle problems/emergencies when they arise.
- Assist with retrieving, photocopying, and scanning materials for Interlibrary Loan and processing document delivery and hold requests.
- Assist users with area instructional equipment and circulating digital equipment; help maintain public computers and printers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Assist with maintaining collections accessibility.
