SummaryThis Financial Senior Manager position will be an integral member of a 6-person financial analysis team. The manager will supervise a team of 5 financial analysts and work closely with all areas of the Internal Medicine Department. Our team supports 13 divisions as well as the chief Administrative Officer and Department Chair.
We handle the financial reporting and forecasting for a department of approximately 900 faculty that significantly contribute to the tripartite mission. We work closely with Departmental and Michigan Medicine financial teams to provide decision support, forecasting, and various analysis throughout the year.

Responsibilities*
Management and knowledge of monthly and annual functions of the Department
Lead and present financial results for the Department and Divisions to Leadership
Field questions and interact regularly with Division and Departmental leaders
Management of the Departmental budget process
Financial and Budget management of our 10 hospital programs
Continued assessment of current processes and recommending/approving when necessary
Provide leadership and guidance in the following areas:
Policies and procedures
Internal and external agreements
Gift and endowment tracking
Internal controls
Faculty commitment schedules
Work within our team and Divisions to establish sound strategic plans for future growth of our tripartite missions.
Help establish and maintain a long-range financial plan
Represent the Department on various committees and teams
Provide presentations, analysis, and recommendations to the Department and Hospital leadership teams
Required Qualifications*
Financial Senior Manager: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field of study with 5-7 years of financial experience. >7 years experience in finance and management highly desired.
Financial Intermediate Manager: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field of study with 3-5 years of financial experience.
Desired Qualifications*
>7 years of experience in finance and management.
Knowledge of Michigan Medicine systems and processes
Previous Finance/Accounting supervision experience
