Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Group Piano and Piano Pedagogy. We seek a teacher of piano pedagogy and group piano to join a program long known for the nurturing and development of generations of exceptional teachers and musicians. We seek to cultivate a collaborative atmosphere in our music programs and to contribute to the academic community, through teaching, research, service, and working to build relationships with other departments within the College and the University.

Essential Functions
• Teach graduate and undergraduate piano pedagogy, and pedagogy related courses according to the needs of the department and College.
• Coordinate the group piano program.
• Mentor graduate teaching assistants.
• Establish a record of teaching, creative activity, and research productivity in national and international venues, demonstrated through national and international presentations, receiving grants and being published in pedagogy-related magazines.
• Serve on undergraduate and graduate committees, including D.M.A./PhD doctoral committees and lecture-recital committees, participate in doctoral document advising, and provide mentorship to students.

Minimum Requirements
Prior to effective date of appointment, all of the following:

Doctoral Degree (D.M.A., D.M., or PhD) in piano pedagogy, piano performance, or a related field.
Five academic years of collegiate teaching in piano pedagogy.
