Position Overview
This position is responsible for tactical planning and implementation of marketing plans as part of the marketing and communications team. By developing effective multi-format (digital, print, outdoor, etc.) marketing, advertising, social media, and web tools that promote the university’s brand and distinctive place in higher education to all internal and external audiences, this position helps to support student enrollment, retention, engagement, and community partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, a minimum of 3 years of closely related professional experience, strong writing skills, and previous experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to create and communicate brand marketing initiatives in support of institutional goals.
Ability to develop effective marketing materials for different university audiences.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, conduct multiple tasks, and establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Working knowledge of branding, marketing and technology.
Knowledge of use guidelines for various media (print, online/social, broadcast).
Knowledge of safe working procedures and security measures related to work performed.
Ability to be available for occasional night and weekend work.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous social media campaign expertise, social media platform management and media buying experience.

Job Duties
o
Collaborates with the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications to create university brand marketing strategies.
o
Collaborates with marketing and communications team members to determine best use of marketing mix to support student recruitment and retention, enhance the university’s image and reputation, and drive university goals.
o
Coordinates the implementation and tracking of university marketing plans and advertising tactics.
o
Creates university social media calendars and posts to all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube; monitors social media platforms.
o
Meets with university deans, directors and managers to create marketing plans for specific programs.
o
Ensures brand guidelines are met across the university (i.e. direct mail, print publications, digital advertising, out-of-home, broadcast, web, etc.).
o
Works as liaison between department and sales representatives to complete media buys and produce required materials for advertisements.
o
Conducts market research, defines audience segmentation, sets metrics and assesses products for effectiveness.
o
Handles all advertising and marketing contract negotiations, media buys and payments.
o
Supports university events and promotions.
