Position Description:

Founded in 1946, the Hite Institute of Art + Design is a vibrant institution offering multidisciplinary majors in fine arts, graphic design, and interior design. The Institute currently has 16 full-time faculty members, a full-time staff of four, and approximately 400 undergraduate and graduate majors in the combined studio, art history, and critical & curatorial studies areas. As the most comprehensive Art + Design program in the state of Kentucky, we offer majors the opportunity to earn a BA, BFA, MA or MFA in a variety of disciplines. Areas of study include art history, ceramics, critical & curatorial studies, drawing, fiber, glass, graphic design, interior design, new media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

The Hite Institute is currently seeking a diverse pool of Figure Models to pose for studio art courses. The chosen candidates will be integral to courses such as Life Drawing and Life Sculpture, serving as subjects for artistic exploration. The renumeration $24 per hour. Modeling sessions are typically 2.5 to 3 hours with breaks approximately every 30 minutes. Paid parking or parking vouchers will be provided for each modeling session.


Responsibilities:

  • Pose unclothed for art class sessions, accommodating poses ranging from one-minute action poses to two-hour poses.
  • Demonstrate the ability to hold poses for extended periods of time.

Previous experience as an art model is preferred.
