Job Description

Summary
The successful candidate will have prior experience teaching university-level dance majors. They should be able to teach dance practices from in contemporary dance forms in addition to Partnering and Somatic Forms. Additional areas preferred could include Composition, Dance Theatre, Production, and Pedagogy. The candidate should have extensive professional experience as a performer and collaborator in both Theatre and Dance. Additional Duties will involve participation in auditions, mentoring students in their creative work, participation in recruitment activities, and faculty meetings.

Upper-or Lower-Division Composition
Lower-Division Partnering

Winter Term

Upper-or-Lower Division Composition
Dance Pedagogy
Physical Practice/Technique (Dance Theatre Methods)
Additional Service (auditions, mentoring, recruitment, faculty meetings)
Required Qualifications*
Candidate should have a Master of Fine Arts degree from an accredited university program and professional experience as a dance artist who has worked in concert dance and theatre. Should have studio teaching experience at the university level and have additional experience in teaching Pedagogy, Composition, and Somatics. The successful candidate will be open to working in a collaborative environment while also maintaining their professional profile.
