Job Description

Summary of Position
The Teaching Excellence and Learning Outcomes Specialist is part of the University of New Hampshire Center of Institutional Effectiveness for Educational Excellence. The Center promotes and supports research and data-informed strategic decisions in support of educational innovations and excellence. The Teaching Excellence and Learning Outcomes Specialist leads university-wide collaborations in faculty development and best practices of teaching and learning. They contribute expertise in effective teaching strategies, effective design of educational experiences, and assessment of student learning outcomes in educational experiences. This role will collaborate closely with various colleges to enhance teaching practices, foster pedagogical innovation, define learning outcomes, and craft educational experiences aimed at achieving these outcomes. The Teaching Excellence and Learning Outcomes Specialist will serve as a proactive liaison among faculty members and leaders to identify gaps in and develop strategies for providing support, guidance, and resources to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning across the institution.

Advanced degree in Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in the science of learning, pedagogy, and instructional design.
Experience leading faculty development and networking activities
Experience leading collaborative strategies to meet strategic goals
Experience working in higher education settings, preferably in a role related to faculty
development or educational support.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Research and assessment skills
A proven track record of implementing successful teaching strategies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
