The Office of Human Resources at the University of Tennessee at Martin invites applicants for the position of Payroll Administrative Coordinator. This position ensures that all Payroll/HR functions are carried out in an accurate efficient manner for the entire campus. Train others across campus in these areas. Report to Knoxville in an efficient manner where all payroll issues are handled in a timely accurate manner. Assist employees of HR and the campus in any way needed (payroll, benefits, employment issues, etc.).

Job Duties
Assist department specialists in transaction and forms processing to insure timely completion. Includes receipt of e-verify information, review paper and electronic forms submitted to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, personnel policies, and compensation guidelines. Assist faculty and staff in the effort certification process. Assist with training of departmental specialists on HR/Payroll Functions. Assuring that time entry and approval are completed in a timely manner (including KRONOS). Run various reports for all areas across campus for numerous reporting purposes.

Enter and assist other offices' personnel with entry of HR documents in IRIS, including entry of time for all work study students, and perform entry of new faculty and staff hired through the advertisement process. Serve as a backup person for the benefits function. Train and supervise student workers on all payroll and HR paperwork entry.

Perform entry/approval of salary transfer vouchers, additional pay, summer school pay, evening school pay, pay advances, retirement accruals & tax overrides, adjustments to KRONOS time and other specialized entry. Follow workflow of HR items at critical entry deadlines and make sure items are completed on time.

Assist faculty, staff, and students with pay issues. Enter and complete U.S. Government e-verify process. Review and approve fee waivers to ensure human resources policy is followed. Assist with employee policy issues and actions taken as needed.



Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
