Position Description:

The Department of Urban and Public Affairs at the University of Louisville is seeking part-time faculty members (non-tenure) track to teach courses for the following programs: Peace Studies, Planning, Public Administration, Real Estate, Sustainability, and Urban Studies. Some of the courses include:

  • Public Budgeting

  • Fundamentals of Peace Studies

  • Human Resources

  • Planning Theory and History


Applicants must apply on-line and attach documents containing a letter of application, current vitae, transcripts (official transcripts required prior to employment), and names and contact information of at least three references. A terminal degree, experience in college teaching, and willingness to deliver online courses is preferred.

The Department of Urban and Public Affairs offers Bachelors (Sustainability and Urban Studies), Masters (Public Administration and Urban Planning), Ph.D. (Urban and Public Affairs), a graduate certificate in Real Estate, an undergraduate minor and certificate in Peace, Justice, and Conflict Transformation, and a graduate certificate in Real Estate Development.
