Job Description Summary:Under the direction of the manager of Enterprise Application Administration, the Application Administrator II will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of assigned enterprise applications. This position will partner and collaborate with technical and functional teams to deliver meaningful change by streamlining existing business and IT processes, creating new processes, implementing infrastructure improvements, and providing security and support to end-users.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Administrator with hands on experience in supporting Blackboard (or other academic) Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate will be responsible primarily for maintaining and supporting KUMC’s academic LMS. This will include working closely with faculty, student and other support staff. Additionally, this role involves working with other Application Administrators to provided secondary support for other collaboration systems. A highly adaptable and cooperative professional, able to work well with others in a diverse and evolving work environment.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology/systems (or a related discipline), that includes at least 15 hours of coursework in computer programing. A combination of education and relevant work experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis.
Work Experience:
Experience working with end-users and troubleshooting issues with them
Experience working as a application administrator and/or system administrator
Experience with cloud-based computing and hosted platforms
Experience with systems analysis and design
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
Knowledge of Cloud System business processes, workflow, security, functionality, technical tools, and reporting/analytical tools
Experience in object migrations between non-production and production environments
Experience working in a higher education environment
Experience with domain and role security
Experience working with academic technology applications
Experience supporting an LMS as an administrator
Experience supporting LTI and API integrations with an LMS
Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and communication with technical personnel and functional departments
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform administration for all aspects of applications including user and group maintenance, security, dash boards, reports, form design and layout, tables, business rules, client scripts, service catalog, UI policies and actions, notifications, workflows, and mid-servers
Support the development teams with user acceptance testing for accuracy and optimum performance
Perform system analysis and design, problem analysis and resolution, and troubleshoot production issues and take corrective action
Identify modifications or revisions of existing application system objects to adapt them to new requirements when necessary
Perform testing, verification of results, and documentation to ensure all requirements are met
Meet with vendors, technical co-workers, and end-users to analyze and document business processes, understand requirements, and recommend technical solutions
Assist project managers in coordination of projects
Remain knowledgeable of current technologies
Provide meaningful metrics to various user groups and perform required departmental administrative reporting
Be responsible for occasional after-hours system problems
