Network Sr Administrator

The successful candidate:
The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for automation, provisioning, configuring, operating, supporting, and maintaining the network infrastructure and other systems to ensure all are secure, reliable, available, and perform optimally in accordance with modern standards and practices. The candidate must be able to perform in both a proactive and reactive manner. The candidate will be proactively monitoring the systems infrastructure utilizing existing tools, responding to alerts, and handling tickets/requests to resolve issues in respect to SLAs. This position participates in on-call rotation that requires after-hours support and may also adjust work hours to perform maintenance tasks at times least impactful to customers
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Information or equivalent experience in the appropriate fields is required.
- 5+ years of experience supporting large data and voice networks in an Enterprise environment
- Experience troubleshooting hardware issues (network, wireless, VoIP).
- Strong understanding of Network monitoring/analysis tools and SNMP protocol – preferably Solardwinds.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of SDWAN, Cisco, L2/L3 switching,Meraki network, and voice infrastructure.
- Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal direction to prioritize and execute tasks. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership including previous performance as a highly effective team member and team leader.
- Team-building and mentoring of others
- IT experience within a multi-facility healthcare organization is preferred.
- 3+ years monitoring experience.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $42.24 - $69.54 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
