Rider University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, Student Health Services. The Assistant Director will function under the supervision of the Director of Student Health Services and within the scope of family nurse practitioner practice as defined by the State of New Jersey. In this role, the Assistant Director of Student Health Services will be responsible for the provision of direct care services to Rider University students who present for treatment at the Student Health Center on the Lawrenceville campus. In addition, the Assistant Director will have administrative responsibilities under the direction of the Director.

Position Requirements

National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse license, active New Jersey Registered Nurse License, and BLS Certification required.

Additional requirements include: demonstrated ability to work with, relate to, and understand the healthcare needs of the college student population; demonstrated experience providing women’s healthcare services; strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with students, staff, administration, and faculty; and computer proficiency to include word, excel, powerpoint, etc.

Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
