Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the Director, Visual and Digital Media position within the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

This position plans, executes, and maintains the Edwards College’s visual and verbal digital marketing to align with the college's and university’s comprehensive communications strategy.

Works in office and various locations, indoor and outdoor, on and off campus. Verbal and written communication skills, reasoning and stress, confidentiality, flexibility, multiple concurrent tasks, detail oriented, customer service, constant interruptions. As needed, work on weekends and nights as regular part of the job.

Visual/Digital Media Director (BC42/61122157/PCLS202400111), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 06. Salary range: $46,655.00 (minimum) - $66,488.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Manages and maintains all aspects of the Edwards College’s social media, including oversight of the official college accounts and the departmental, program, and center/institute-related accounts. As a member of the Edwards College Pub Group; oversees the alignment and implementation of the university and college communications strategy, as it relates to online media, for all college level accounts. Coordinates, collaborates, and oversees the implementation of the social media visual and verbal strategies at the departmental, program, and center/institute level.

2. Coordinates and creates engaging dynamic virtual content for all Edwards College Dean’s Office social media accounts. Content will range from photographs and images to video and other expanded media. This content should be current, speak to the college’s target audience, and will need to be coordinated based on the needs of the college, as well as the vision of the Edwards College Pub Group and the Dean.

3. Develops and employs a comprehensive social media strategy using analytics as metric for measuring engagement, growth, and success of the CCU/Edwards College brand. Implements this analytical strategy at the college, departmental, program, and center/institute level by clearly articulating the institution’s goals.

4. Supervises, directs, and coaches student workers working with social media, and provides the College students, staff, and faculty with opportunities for expanding their departmental and program brand through latest trends, strategies, and best practices in social media.

5. Provides exceptional service (in-person and virtually) to all constituents, including faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community.



Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree and relevant experience.

Preferred: At least three (3) years' experience in social media and/or digital marketing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of social media platforms and how to use those platforms to disseminate information and communicate with the public. Knowledge of and ability to use current software packages, video and camera equipment and other related equipment. Knowledge of current website development concepts and reporting analytics. Knowledge of social media practices and reporting analytics. Knowledge of brand development and usage. Ability to understand and maintain agency brands and the accurate deployment of those brands in various marketing collateral outputs. Ability to supervise and coach subordinate staff.
