College/Department Information
The Division of Information Technology is the backbone of Augusta University. IT manages all Augusta University systems, networks, data, and applications while safeguarding our digital information. IT strives to provide stable, reliable, and secure IT access for students, faculty, staff, clinicians, patients, researchers, and visitors. As the central IT service provider for Augusta University and many of AU Health's IT services, IT is responsible for Augusta University's most critical IT resources including the wired and wireless network; email, telephone, and online collaboration services; information security; software licensing; and a host of other systems and applications.
Job Summary
Under general supervision of their teams leadership, the PC Systems Analyst 2 (PCSA2) performs tasks to aid in the on-going support of end-user environments including personal computers (PC & Macs). PDAs, and peripherals. The PCSA2 works independently to research and resolve hardware and software problems, responds to client requests, and refers only the most complex issues. The PCSA2 corrects hardware, software, and questionable problems; maintains service logs; monitors problem/change activities and coordinates involvement of staff, clients, and vendors to ensure effective implementation of resolution of user problems.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
HARDWARE/SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE: Install, test, troubleshoots, and maintain hardware and software products including internet and network connectivity for PC's, Mac's, PDA's, and peripherals; implements and monitors standard and procedures; facilitates backup and recovery; and maintains service logs.
PROVIDE DIRECT USER SUPPORT: Provide telephone, face-to-face and online support to customers.
EVALUATE USER BUSINESS NEEDS: Analyzes customer procedures. Organizes departmental resources needed and leads design, development and implementation of the most effective solution. Monitors progress of corrective actions to prevent unnecessary delay.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years related field experience
OR
Associates degree from an accredited college or university and 3 years related field experience
OR
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization and 5 years of related field experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and internet/network connectivity.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to analyze a problem and define/implement the solution to the problem.
Ability to manage time wisely and in an organized manner to best complete a given set of tasks.
Proven ability to develop an effective, collaborative working relationship with a variety of representative groups.
Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally, and in writing with customers to obtain all required information necessary to determine and address their specific needs.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift : Days; Monday- Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B11
Salary: $56,600/annually - $64,400/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
