College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.
Job Summary

This position will serve as the primary liaison between the Augusta, Savannah, and Brunswick campuses for student courses. Work actively with the Assistant Dean of Experiential Leaming, Savannah and Director of PCL Clinical Experience to schedule all requested clinics and events, which include, but is not limited to teaching communication and interviewing skills. Other functions are to create and maintain student database, work with faculty to develop methods to establish reliability and validity of examinations.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate daily functions of the Savannah/Brunswick/Savannah campus PCL Clerkship EL Case program and all other Experiential Learning activities and serve as primary point of contact; Coordinate weekly rotations through the course and ensure all rotating medical students meet all requirements of the course across the Augusta/Savannah/Brunswick/Savannah campus sites. Responsible for communicating rotation Information to students prior to and throughout rotations. Coordinate and manage logistics of the course to include faculty assignment, room assignment, equipment availability and all supplies for each simulation case in the course.
Serve as the Clerkship Coordinator 1 in duties related to EL electives and electives; Clerkship POCUS Elective, Clerkship Telemedicine Elective, Clerkship Procedure Elective, Clerkship Educational Simulation Elective, Clerkship EL Research Elective, Enrichment Clinical Experience Medical Education Elective, Enrichment US Elective, Enrichment Clinical Procedure elective, Enrichment Simulation Elective, Enrichment Rural-Telemedicine Experience elective, Enrichment EL Research Elective and any other EL electives. Act as the office coordinator that coordinates and manages patient recruitment, patient schedules, communication to and from patients for the PCL Clinical Experience. Assist with obtaining standardized patients. Supervise administrative staff; has the authority to make a variety of personnel decisions, such as hiring, evaluating performance, salary increases. mediate issues, promotions end terminations. train, delegate, assign and review work of office staff; counsel employees to resolve problems. Assist with any student needs during courses.
Organize and assist with monthly orientation and Education Sessions to include room reservations. creating student informational packets, collecting attendance and required assignments. Enter student grades in banner and attendance verification.
Special projects requested by the Assistant and Associate Deans; distribute assessment when available and remediation letters in case of failure; coordinate make up sessions for absences.
Assist with any grievances and/or problems that need to be addressed for or about Medical Students and available for any information needed.
Attend any meetings related to position.
Work Collaboratively with all campus clerkship coordinators, EL and curriculum.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with a minimum two years administrative experience.

Some college preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
SKILLS
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to build professional relationships. Computer literate, proficient with MS Office Suite of software.

Pay Band: 7
Salary: Minimum $20.29/hour - $21.85/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
