The Department Mathematical Sciences is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty candidate who is able to teach students from diverse backgrounds in the online/on-campus undergraduate Data Analytics program and in the online/on-campus Data Science/Statistics graduate programs. Additional courses for the undergraduate curriculum and graduate curriculum within the specialty area of the candidate are possible and may be offered online and/or on-campus. The candidate should also be able to develop a dynamic research program that will advance the research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in data analytics and statistics/data science respectively. Professional development and service are expected.

Minimum Experience:
PhD in data science, data analytics, statistics, biostatistics, computational mathematics, informatics, or related field from an accredited university by date of appointment with at least 18 graduate semester hours of relevant course work; commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated in the teaching statement; effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with teaching advanced statistics, data analytics and/or data science classes is highly desirable, as is experience with programming languages related to statistics/data science such as R, SAS and/or Python. Additional knowledge about data science and analytics applications in environmental sciences, bioinformatics, social sciences, health sciences and/or data visualization. Experience or interest in online instruction.
