Job Description SummaryThe Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Computational and Theoretical Chemistry. The possible research areas include, but are not limited to, electronic structure, reaction dynamics, molecular dynamics, materials design, quantum computing, and data-driven chemistry (artificial intelligence/machine learning). Candidates with expertise and interest in developing theoretical models and algorithms are desired. The successful candidate is expected to establish an extramurally funded, internationally recognized research program. Additionally, the candidate is encouraged to participate in on-campus collaborative efforts such as the Auburn University Center for Multiscale Modeling of Materials and Molecules (CM4; http://aub.ie/cm4). Duties also include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Minimum Qualifications
.A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field and at least one year of postdoctoral experience are required at the time employment begins. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States at the time employment begins and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
