Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for School of Nursing faculty, staff, administrators, students, and associated university technical support, and clinical and interprofessional partners via phone, e-mail, in person, videoconference, and via remote assistance.
- Serve as a product specialist for learning management technologies and other applications used to support teaching and learning, simulation products and equipment, network applications, telehealth, and clinical encounter and scheduling software; includes providing supervision to graduate assistants and student workers supporting these applications to assist with issues they cannot solve; provide training and support for these applications to faculty, staff, students, administrators, and clinical partners.
- Manage, maintain, program, schedule, and coordinate the use and course integration of the high and low fidelity patient simulators and virtual environments/simulations. This includes telemedicine equipment and maintenance, use, and ability to troubleshoot both the simulators and the equipment that controls them.
- Manage, maintain, coordinate, and support the use of video recording solutions; includes recording simulations, lectures, presentations, volunteer patients, and other media elements for students, faculty, staff, administrators and clinical partners.
- Support Senior Technical Specialist & Analyst and NSITC Director in planning schedules, preparing operation and budgetary reports, developing and specifying policies and procedures, and designing information guides.
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise undergraduate and graduate student employees that work at the SITC; assign workflow to undergraduate and graduate student workers; oversee quality of work.
- Install, support, maintain, configure, and secure hardware for faculty, staff, administrators, and student employees and SITC computers.
- Monitor, maintain, support, administer, backup, and update the department’s software; includes coordinating School systems with University systems, such as the print management system.
- Manage, maintain, and design the School of Nursing’s website, multimedia content, and related online materials.
- Research, test, evaluate, and recommend emerging computer and information technologies for use within the School of Nursing and maintain current knowledge of emerging hardware, software, and communication technologies.
- Maintain, configure, perform, and participate in SITC evaluations, surveys, and reports needed for School of Nursing reporting functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Serve as backup to Interprofessional Community Clinics Technology and Video Systems Specialist for electronic health records and other technology; obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, and ensure continued maintenance of credential.
