Summary of PositionThe College of Science, Technology, and Mathematics invites applications for Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Mathematics and Statistics. The program is looking for a faculty member with expertise preferably in statistics, combinatorics/graph theory, or data science. The faculty member will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses; pursue appropriate scholarship, and participate in department, college and university service activities.The program is looking for an outstanding faculty member with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service to the University, community, and the profession. Our Department is particularly interested in individuals with a passion for working with undergraduate and master level students.
Faculty members are encouraged to develop innovative teaching methods and educational enrichment activities.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.
Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None
Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Mathematics or Statistics earned or to be completed by August 15, 2025.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrate a strong interest in undergraduate scholarship, evidence of excellent teaching, and commitment to conducting scholarly research. Although all areas of mathematics and statistics will be considered, preference will be given to candidates whose research area is statistics, data science, or combinatorics/graph theory.
