Job SummaryUnder general supervision, performs clerical accounting procedures requiring familiarity with, and experience in, accounting office practices as well as knowledge of a variety of accounting classifications. Performs all cash reconciliation and accounting. Process daily proceeds from Gift Shop operations. Assigns codes, identifies accounts, and prepares data transaction sheets. Analyzes and audits various accounts. Posts, checks, and proofs entries to general ledger and accounts. Verifies and processes accounts payable. Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and knowledge of accounting procedures. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
Work is normally performed in a typical small-scale retail setting.

Responsibilities*
Assigns codes, identifies accounts, and prepares data transaction sheets.
Analyzes and audits various accounts and enters all inventory transactions.
Posts, checks, and proofs entries to various accounts timely.
In the absence of ASM Finance, verifies and processes accounts payable.
Fully fluent with credit card acceptance and cash management protocols to include utilization of various commercial software applications.
Performs various retail back office functions, including using retail POS and inventory software.
Serve as a liaison between temporary staff members, volunteers, and senior shop management.

You are expected to work a majority of your time in a small office setting, but adaptable to cover any position in the organization.
Experience with Windows navigation, and have full literacy of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Possess strong interpersonal skills primarily written, verbal, and team collaboration.
Familiarity with NCR CounterPoint retail system helpful, but not required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree or 2-years experience in related field.
Must be able to lift or move 35 lbs.
Must be able to work in any of the Friends Gift Shops locations during any shift the shops are open.
