The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach a variety of art history courses, including Introduction to Global Art History (AHS 100); Introduction to Art History: Global Traditions (AHS 101); Introduction to Art History: The Modern and Contemporary World (AHS 102); and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections, and we offer both online and in-person modalities. Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered.

Minimum Experience:
Master’s degree in art history or a related field (with at least 18 graduate hours) from an accredited college or university completed by start of appointment. One semester of experience teaching at the college level.
Preferred Experience:
Ph.D. in art history or a related field (with at least 18 graduate hours) from an accredited college or university completed by start of appointment. One year of experience teaching at the college level.
