Pfizer’s UK based global public private partnership [GP3] team focuses on creating novel, expert teams, in particular via the world’s largest life sciences public-private partnership scheme run by the European Commission, to tackle issues that no single organisation alone can handle. GP3 works across Pfizer departments globally to line up the best colleagues to work with external partners on the most stimulating of topics.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and work with this highly skilled team to learn how to manage multiple, super interesting scientific projects, work with many interesting internal and external colleagues, knowing you are helping to develop science and make breakthroughs for patients.
What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?
Working with the GP3 team, the successful undergraduate will work on [special] projects, processes and communications throughout the assignment.
Activities will include:
Project Management and Support
• Project manager for a defined set of projects that will involve tracking deliverables and managing the projects through their life-cycle.
Project Comms
• Developing and managing the project marketing overviews, managing the GP3 web-site, managing the team communications across the organisation, developing project impact messages and stories.
Project Audit and Reporting
• Contributing to the reporting activities to support the internal and external audit requirements for the European Commission.
Other tasks will include:
Special adhoc projects, team day to day help, social committee involvement, shadowing external meetings
During your year you can expect to develop key skills useful in any office environment. You will learn project management skills that will help you manage multiple projects, with multiple colleagues. You will also have the opportunity to work with other pharma companies and the EC.

When can I start?
Placements will start on 1st September 2025 and will run for 12 months.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ‘Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’:
- Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year
- Is proactive and passionate with good organisational skills, including the ability to multitask between competing assignments and has strong verbal and written skills
- A scientific background is also helpful to enable you to better comprehend the projects.
- Ability to see projects through to completion, focused on the end-result
