Job Summary
The main purpose of this position is to perform Information Desk duties, stack maintenance, and other support tasks in Access Services.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
CIRCULATION AND OTHER ACCESS SERVICES: Provide circulation and other access services to AU faculty, staff, students, and community users, including- Assisting users with information resources. Utilizing the integrated library systems (ILS) to change, discharge, and renew library materials with accuracy and efficiency, edit/create patron records, add barcodes to resources/patrons, and other ILS functions. Provide accurate basic reference assistance at the Information Desk and logging results in RefAnalytics. Serve as a daytime backup for the Creative Technology Lab.
RETRIEVE LIBRARY MATERIALS DAILY: Shelve material according to call numbers without errors. Retrieve and re-shelve any loose library materials daily. Shelf read for accuracy in assigned stack area as needed. Shift library materials as required. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the provision of efficient library services and programming.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization.
Previous library experience OR general clerical/customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with library standards and procedures. Experience with ALMA (Library Automation System), GIL-Find Online Catalog, GIL Express, GALILEO.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Part-time; Weekday mornings (or other shifts as needed) This position is a Part-Time position - .40 FTE (16.0 hrs per week).
Pay Band: B1
Salary: Minimum: $15.00/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
