Job ID 240060Position 40035782 The Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University is seeking to hire a candidate with a strong track record of publications and extensive expertise in the area of Proteomics and Metabolomics as well as the required data analyses. The Georgia Cancer Center Proteomics and Metabolomics Core has recently acquired state-of-the-art equipment, Agilent Technologies 6470B Triple Quadrupole LC/MS and 1260 Infinity II Binary Pump in addition to our existing Q-TOF LC/MS and Orbitrab LC/MS technologies. A dedicated non-tenured faculty with appropriate expertise will be responsible for leading the day to day business of the core and will be expected to run this top of the line instrument, data collection and data analyses with the help of a search assistant. .
The Georgia Cancer Center's Proteomics and Metabolomics core uses mass spectrometry as the key technology for qualitative and quantitative protein characterization and advanced methods for profiling and quantitation of small molecules. The candidate in this core manager position is also expected to do billing services through iLab system, budgeting and planning for the core, working with vendors to obtain discounted reagents, pricing services to ensure a profit will be obtained while keeping prices competitive with similar other Universities/Institutes available services. This position requires the knowledge of decent cell biology/molecular biology in addition to extensive experience with above mentioned proteomics and metabolomics technologies. Also the job requires a leadership qualities for successful implementation of the GCC directors mission at the GCC Proteomics and Metabolomics Core.
Required Qualifications
PhD and 4 years experience in an Assistant Professor position.
