The successful candidate:

Hours:Rotational (3) 12-hour shifts (7:00am - 7:00pm) and after hours on-call rotation

Job Description:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a highly knowledgeable professional provider, including Physician Assistants (PA), Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), and Nurse Practitioners (NP), who assumes responsibility for providing personalized care to patients. In this role, clinical assessment and interpretative skills, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques are used to deliver quality care to patients. This highly respected role supports patients and works in concert with physicians and care teams to meet the clinical needs of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks in collaboration with, or as directed by, the patient’s attending physician.

  • Conduct clinical assessments and interpret results.

  • Ensure all entries in the medical record are co-signed by the attending physician.

  • Prescribe medications as clinically indicated and allowed by state/federal licensing.

  • Interact effectively with a variety of settings with both efficiency and urgency.

  • Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Take call as required.

  • Demonstrate a high level of independence and critical thinking.

  • Assess concerns with a collaborative team approach.

Requirements:

  • Current State of IL License

  • DEA without restriction

  • Illinois Controlled Substance license required

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $50.06 - $82.43 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
