Essential Functions
Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, active engagement in research and publication, and involvement in department, college, university, and professional service. An active research agenda in the area of business analytics, data visualization, or artificial intelligence as applied to business disciplines that can lead to scholarly publications in high quality journals is required. Service duties may also include engaging with alumni, industry professionals, recruiters, and promotion of programs.
Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or a closely related field is required.
A successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated potential excellence in teaching and an established record of quality research.
Preferred Qualifications
Some industrial experience, experience working with companies on data science projects, or experience obtaining external research grants, is highly desirable.
Applicants with areas of interest in healthcare applications, AI, and Gen-AI applications in business, or other strategic priorities of the Schmidthorst College of Business are preferred.
