Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is advantageous.
Position Summary
The Business Analyst falls under the Business Process Improvements function of Auxiliary Services. This employee will collaborate with the various Auxiliary Services Units/Departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes and workflows. This individual will translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology teams and work closely with the Business Process Improvement team; project management office team, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. This employee is also involved in identifying areas of process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance Auxiliary’s overall operational efficiency and effectiveness including process optimization, cost reduction, and identifying fresh business opportunities.
Essentially this role is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that the software and systems developed align with business requirements. This position involves the ability to comprehend how data-focused strategies add value to an organization, including its processes, services, hardware, software, and products. This role supports balancing strategies against what is functionally, technologically, and financially feasible.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to review, analyze, understand and interpret the various Business unit’s data sets.
Strong business acumen and organizational abilities.
Excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal abilities and customer service.
Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques to develop actionable recommendations for business units.
Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, SmartSheets, Confluence, QLIK, Tableau or other analytics tools, etc.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is advantageous.
Physical Demands
