Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for contributing to marketing projects, branding and community engagement at City of Hope Atlanta. The specialist will also partner and work closely with the Marketing Manager in developing patient access plans, physician and clinical marketing campaigns, competitive landscapes, and consumer insights to develop hyper local marketing tactics to build trust and loyalty to increase patient access.
Overseeing the day-to-day deliverables as required and provides any necessary direction and resources to internal/external partners.
Gathering information on the hospital level pertaining to new service line opportunities, technology advancements, growth initiatives, brand equity and awareness.
Ensure project deliverables are met in a timely manner and conduct weekly project status meetings with the Marketing Manager and AVP, marketing and communications.
Collaborating with the Marketing Manager to assist in tracking expenses and assist in processing invoices to maintain the budget.
Providing oversight for community engagement events as it relates to Cancer Support Organizations (CSO) and will work cross-functionally with hospital teams to support the hospital and increase brand awareness within the community.
The Marketing Specialist will report to the AVP of Marketing and Communications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year of marketing or communications or related experience.
Minimum of 3 years in a senior level healthcare business role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing communications and marketing campaigns.
AP Style.
Writing and editing of healthcare publications and stories, including scientific content.
Clinical and physician marketing platforms, including Doximity and Medscape.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communication, Business or other related field or equivalent working experience/knowledge.
Advanced Degree (e.g. Master’s Degree) is Marketing, Communication, Business, or related field

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $28.58 - $47.04 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
