Medical Technologist (Weekend Shift)

The successful candidate:
Must be able to work Full-time Weekends - Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6:00a-6:30p.
Performs routine and complex medical laboratory tests, procedures and analyses.
Ensures that all laboratory tests are performed in accordance with established standards.
Maintains the use of automated and computerized instruments including recognition of instrument malfunction and resolution with appropriate corrective actions.
Evaluates results of Quality Control procedures and implements corrective action when indicated.
Evaluates the validity of test results; understands clinical implications; notifies primary caregiver of critical test results.
Documents and maintains the appropriate records required by the hospital and laboratory accrediting agencies.
Develops and maintains current procedure and policy manuals based upon defined accrediting agency standards.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Must have an associate degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology with a MLT or MT certification (ASCP, AMT or AAB)
Prefer a minimum of 2 years hospital or clinic experience
Certification required (ASCP, AMT or AAB) or eligible to take exam

City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $28.59 - $47.04 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
