Provide general laboratory support and conduct scientific experiments, working with infection disease models. Utilize tissue culture-related methods, molecular and cellular biology techniques, imaging, RT-PCR and viral quantification. Provide general lab support will include preparation of solutions, ordering and inventory of supplies, lab safety documentation and equipment maintenance. Work under direct supervisory guidance with regular meetings around research goals and data with expectation of progression to increasing levels of more independent work and self-directed planning and conducting of day-to-day experiments.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences or chemistry with at least six months’ laboratory experience required. Effective analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills required. Commitment to diversity and inclusion required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in cell culture and working with viruses is highly preferred.
Anticipated Pay Range $20.00/hour - $23.00/hour
