Job Description
We are seeking a Digital Channel Management Producer to join our team and be responsible for developing content strategies for multiple digital channels and platforms based on our organization's business objectives and end user needs. The ideal candidate will apply best practices in information architecture and usability to administer cloud-based platforms for digital content. Additionally, the Digital Channel Management Producer will create, document, and maintain editorial style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, SEO guidance, best practices, and content migration plans.
Responsibilities:
Oversees Argonne’s intranet, including supporting distributed content managers on some website updates and directly fulfilling service requests for others.
Leads content strategy for the lab’s primary websites, leveraging expertise and experience in gathering content inventories, determining high-value content, organizing content, and measuring content strategy success.
Assists with technical integration of content, including content management system (CMS) design, content models, and workflow recommendations.
Manages consultants and interns as needed, assigning and overseeing tasks and work schedules.
Occasionally manages larger project teams comprising internal and/or external content managers, assigning and overseeing tasks and maintaining project schedule and budget.
Oversees digital content development and maintenance, identifying content gaps, recommending new content, and initiating regular review and updates of published content.
Administers the lab’s primary mass email and survey platforms.
In collaboration with metrics analysis lead, gathers and shares key performance metrics related to email, survey, or website content.
Serves as back-up for changes to Argonne’s public website (www.anl.gov) and the lab’s other standalone websites.
Mentors team members and content managers in best practices and conducts training workshops.
Develops and implements design concepts for email templates, web pages and other digital media.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Broad and deep experience in managing a variety of digital communication channels.
- Demonstrated aptitude for gaining proficiency on new digital platforms, with experience migrating from one platform to another with overall client satisfaction.
- Proven track record of client-focused problem solving and decision making, often in deadline-driven situations, with ability to balance needs of groups and the overall objectives of the lab.
- Demonstrated experience managing information exchange with audiences via websites, mass email, and other digital channels.
- Strong time management, both in managing own time efficiently as well as setting expectations for internal clients.
- Demonstrated, strong proofreading, writing and editing skills.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and correcting HTML and CSS.
- Ability to process complex technical information in both written and visual formats.
- Able to maintain strong working relationships with technical, editorial, and creative team members.
- Can apply complex style and format requirements, ensuring compliance with brand identity standards and process guidelines.
- Proven champion for digital accessibility and usability.
