Job Profile Summary
Under limited supervision, this position serves in a management and leadership capacity as it relates to division operations, administration functions and administrative support of the division. Serves in the absence of the VP for administrative matters. This position also assists in the administration of the division budgets and personnel. Performs related duties as directed.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for some positions.
Minimum Experience/Training:
Five years general business or field specific experience, with three years in a discipline specific function and three years of supervisory or lead experience required.
Essential Functions:
Daily - 25%: Provides supervision and management for the day-to-day operations and activities of the division operations, administration functions and administrative support. Assists in maintaining, planning and managing budget for the department.
Other - 10%: Responsible for people management of the area, including recommendation of staffing, hiring, termination and discipline, setting performance standards and evaluating staff, and staff development and training.
Daily - 25%: Manages or coordinates the operational activities and work flow to ensure effectiveness. Manages the scheduling of complex appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements working with multiple calendars and constituents; attends meetings; records, interprets, drafts, and distributes (pending approval) minutes from said meetings
Weekly - 10%: Interfaces with internal and external customers. Attends meetings as a representative of Finance on behalf of the VP and other management within the Finance division to provide feedback and briefing to the staff of Finance as well as provide action items to the staff.
Other - 10%: Reviews, analyzes and evaluates the area and makes recommendations for enhancements to ensure the highest level of service is provided to all stakeholders.
Daily - 10%: Analyzes, composes and edits internal and external correspondence, reports and documents including PowerPoint presentations, desktop publishing, excel spreadsheets and tables.
Other - 5%: Manages area internal and external websites and online forms.
Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.

Proven expertise in executing operational plans, managing projects and/or programs, budgeting, cost control and delivery of results
In-depth managerial and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to motivate and empower direct and indirect reports to achieve area priorities
Ability to partner with others across the College and externally to exchange information, collaborate on projects, share resources, etc.
May require negotiation skills and ability to reach mutual points of agreement and benefit among peers and colleagues
Advanced level technical skills for functional area required
