Job Profile Summary
This position will support and maintain critical enterprise applications essential to our institution's operations. The successful candidate will focus on application administration, user support, and ensuring the optimal performance and security of our enterprise systems based on current procedures. Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in IT within an educational environment.Key responsibilities include assisting in maintaining software licenses, assigning application roles and permissions, and administering enterprise applications such as OneLogin, Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, TeamDynamix, DocuSign, Alertus, Everbridge, and others. A solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory is required, and knowledge of Microsoft Intune is a plus. A foundational understanding of programming (PowerShell, Python, C#) and programming structures is desirable for this role.
The candidate must follow ITSM procedures, support new and existing 3rd party applications, server infrastructure, and assist users when needed. This position will also play a crucial role strategically by assisting with the evaluation of new technologies and concepts for end user computing.
Minimum Education:
Associate’s degree in Information Technology program required.
An equivalent combination of education experience and education may be considered.
Minimum Experience/Training:
Four to Six years of relevant experience.
Demonstrates success in executing tactical responsibilities in a dynamic Information Technology environment.
Minimum Certification/Licenses:
One of any of the listed Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Certification or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Certification is preferred, but not required:
MCTS System Center, MCTS Virtualization, MCTS Windows Server,
MCITP Virtualization Administrator on Windows Server.
or
MCITP Certification Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server.
Note: Microsoft is known to change its certification program names and designations frequently. Information Technology will review submitted certifications to ensure they meet the requirements above relative to the current or past designations by Microsoft.
Essential Functions:
- Enterprise Application Support
Daily - 20%- Responsible for administering and supporting enterprise applications, including OneLogin, Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, TeamDynamix, DocuSign, Alertus, Everbridge, and others.
- Follows institutional policies and procedures, helps assign application roles and permissions under guidance.
- Assists in maintaining software licenses and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.
- System Administration
Daily - 20%- Manages and maintains Microsoft Active Directory under supervision, including user accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Monitors application performance and conducts regular system checks.
- Updates and patches to ensure applications are current and secure.
- Scripting and Automation
Daily - 15%- Develops and maintains basic scripts using PowerShell, Python, or C# to automate routine tasks.
- Utilizes foundational programming skills to support application functionalities.
- User Support and Training
Daily - 15%- Collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to address application-related inquiries and issues.
- Assists in developing training sessions and materials to enhance user proficiency.
- Creates and maintains user guides and technical documentation.
- Collaboration with Campus Technology
Daily - 10%- Works with the Campus Technology team on support issues, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Participates in projects to integrate new applications or enhance existing systems.
- Coordinates with vendors and external partners for support under supervision.
- Process Improvement
Daily - 5%- Participates in evaluating existing procedures and recommends improvements.
- Assists in preparing change requests and maintaining documentation.
- Stays updated on emerging technologies relevant to enterprise applications.
- Compliance and Best Practices
Other - 5%- Adheres to ITSM procedures and ITIL operational best practices.
- Ensures all activities align with institutional policies and compliance requirements.
- Professional Development
Other - 5%- Engages in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
- Seeks guidance and mentorship from senior team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of Microsoft Intune is a plus.
Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Critical Troubleshooting Analysis of Systems, Critical and Logical Thinking Skills, Expertise in Computer Systems.
Advance knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures for installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, repairing microcomputer hardware, software configuration, network components, and Windows Operating systems are required.
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population
Ability to manage own work to unit performance standards for cost, quality, and output (e.g., demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills, ability to set priorities for self and others, schedule work activities, allocate resources and provide appropriate feedback)
