The Office of Institutional Equity is in search of an Assessment Specialist II for Planning and Assessment. This position is responsible for coordinating planning, assessment, and research activities within the Institutional Equitydivision. We are seeking an experienced, proven leader in this area who will maintain a culture of excellence by utilizing effective assessment practices; directing and providing oversight of assessment efforts within the division; collaborating with university partners to assess the institutional equity experience for members of the campus community; providing direction and leadership reflective of innovative assessment practices; representing the division on University assessment initiatives; and working collaboratively with the Office of Academic Planning and Accountability to support university accreditation efforts. This position is a key member of the Vice President’s leadership team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership, oversight, expertise, direction, and technical analytical software recommendations in directing a high-quality assessment of institutional equity program initiatives, strategic projects and research projects for the Institutional Equity division.
Create a formal assessment model and team to operationalize its implementation. Utilize analytic software for advanced statistical analysis from various sources (e.g., surveys, databases, focus groups), and prepare written reports.
Oversee reviews related to institutional equity and work with the Assistant Vice President regarding the university’s planning processes.
Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Research and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness on collecting, analyzing data and providing feedback related to surveys.
Collaborate with directors, other members of the leadership team, and campus partners to collect, interpret, analyze, and track trends for data related to grants, annual reports, and presentations.
Serve as the divisional representative on University Assessment initiatives providing information and support for university accreditation efforts, strategic planning metrics, and various other university projects.
In collaboration with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (IE), assume the lead analyst role within IE to design, administer, and analyze online surveys related to Institutional Equity (i.e., Early Arrival Program, Assessment for Academic Units/Offices) utilizing eXplorance Blue. Analyze survey results and prepare written reports for distribution as delegated within the Institutional Equity division and the university community.
In collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP), address data requests by identifying data sources, pulling data, formatting reports, and disseminating reports to appropriate parties while maintaining institutional standards on data reporting.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
