Position Description:

The Instructional Design and Technology team of the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning is seeking an Instructional Design and Technology Specialist II – Course Support to maintain quality online courses by providing course duplication services, faculty consultations and just-in-time technical support. This individual will assist with the maintenance of instructional materials, accessible documents, videos, and/or other resources for courses in Blackboard. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational technology and a deep understanding of online pedagogy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare courses for faculty which includes services such as course duplication in LMS, copy content from previous developments, update content as requested

• Support the Instructional Design Team in maintaining quality assurance by performing course operational consistency evaluations

• Meet key performance indicators associated with faculty support services

• Maintain support resources for Blackboard and related instructional technology tools

• Maintain course content created by the Instructional Design Team

• Execute a variety of technical functions to assist the Instructional Design Team

• Assist with special projects/initiatives, including those related to quality assurance reviews, online teaching, and/or instructional design

• Identify appropriate tasks for delegation and facilitate the delegation process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with higher education faculty and instructional designers in an online learning context

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills is desired

• Experience working in a learning management system (LMS)

Work Hours and Location

This is a full-time position with a 37.5 hour regular workweek. The work location for this position is at the Belknap Campus. Remote/hybrid work and flexible hours may be considered with business needs in mind.
