For Semester/Term: Spring 2025
Hiring Department:Fine Arts/Audio Recording Program. We are the CSN Audio Recording Program/Certificate of Achievement. Our Program instructs students in theoretical principles of audio technology and trains them for practical understanding of hardware and software used in audio recording and live sound.
Work Hours per week:19.5
Hourly Rate of Pay:$14.00
Position Description:
Duties are for anything needed to assist the CSN Audio Recording Program. All work is performed at the NLV Campus. Typical tasks involved include monitoring Open Lab times in our Computer Music Classroom/Lab, organizing and maintaining audio equipment, setting up classrooms and equipment, housekeeping/cleaning, minor office tasks, and other related items. Assistance with maintaining and upgrading audio software is also required, within the limits of the individual; instruction and training on this is provided as needed and as time allows. Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs:
Certificate of Achievement in Music Business and Technology
Required Qualifications:
A minimum comprehension of audio fundamentals, terminology, and both hardware and software used in audio recording is required. Good people skills and work ethic are essential for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong computer skills and thorough understanding of audio equipment is preferred. Preference is given to students already in the CSN Audio Recording Program.

· Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar, and

· Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
· Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
· *Student’s cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
