Job Summary
The Program Coordinator will provide front line support for the outreach and operations efforts of the Cyber Institute, under the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences (SCCS). This person will interface with closely with units within SCCS and the university including Student Affairs, financial aid, research, and GCITC. This position will also interface with external partners such as local school systems, federal government, businesses and K-12 organizations.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
CAMPS AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES: Manages the development, planning, and coordination of camps and outreach activities for the Cyber Institute and SCCS. Collaborate with local schools and businesses to partner with and host outreach programs for cyber programs at AU. Works closely with the SCCS Communications Specialist to market those programs.
FACILITATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS: Facilitate opportunities for SCCS students and related program participants to join in scholarly activities, conferences, seminars, professional development and workshops.
MANAGING SCHOLARSHIP AND GRANT: Manage open scholarship/grant initiatives and efforts on behalf of the students receiving awards.
SCCS PROJECTS: Coordinates program activities within Cyber Institute, SCCS, and with external stakeholders; Coordinates, plans, implements, and monitors projects and initiatives. Prepares documents and supporting materials (e.g., reports, timelines, charters, agendas, action minutes, decisions, etc.). Plans and executes logistics for major meetings and events.
BUDGETS AND EXPENDITURES: Works closely with the SCCS business manager to coordinate program budgets and expenditures with other corresponding Cyber Institute accounts. Reconcile all accounts and expenditures.
TRAVEL FOR DEPARTMENT FACULTY AND STAFF: Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements for department faculty and staff. Complete documentation related to financial requests including travel, purchase orders, and reimbursement for department staff and faculty.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Provide Administrative support to the Director of the Cyber Institute to coordinate ongoing programming, events, and recruitment efforts including planning, publicity, housing and travel arrangement, A/V arrangements, room scheduling, food and all other logistics; monitor and route contracts for venue rentals, service level agreements through the SCCS Business Manager. Provides meeting/calendar support, processes travel and other requests.
BACKUP SUPPORT: Provide backup support to the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences administrative/operations team as needed.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, cybersecurity or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in education, cybersecurity or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university. K-12 classroom and outreach experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
ABILITIES
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday
Pay Band: B7
Salary: $20.29/hour - $21.63/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
