The Management and Entrepreneurship Department at Saint Mary's College of California invites applications to teach one course for the Winter Quarter of 2025 on Innovation: Theory and Silicon Valley Perspectives (MGT 911). This student cohort will be a combined class of two sections of doctoral students.
Creativity and innovation are the key drivers of success for many of today's leading companies. This course focuses on advanced research in the fields of organizational strategy and performance. The course outcomes will add increased depth and breadth to the synthesis of critical thinking, analysis, research writing and evaluation regarding organizational innovations and competitive advantages. The literature on this discipline is abundant. A focus of this course is to enable students to develop their own mental map of theories and concepts for application of innovation in real-world managerial and leadership settings. The course will include an in depth review of theoretical approaches, their similarities and differences and their practical application, with a special emphasis on theoretical tensions and ongoing inquiries that can lead to new organizational insights.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. preferred in a relevant area of Management and Entrepreneurship or a closely related field, and be Scholarly Academic in AACSB Status.
Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the graduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course work to be performed in the state of California. Candidates must perform all course-related work within the state of California.
The salary range for this position is $7,447 -$10,008 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
