What Your Job Will Be Like:
Join our dynamic team as a Tactical Planner, where you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence at the CA site. Your leadership will directly influence our ability to deliver innovative solutions and enhance site performance.
On any given day, you may:
- Serve as an action officer during problem resolution meetings, facilitating and documenting discussions, decisions, and action items to facilitate integration, effective communication, and accountability
- Proactively identify and analyze operational challenges, collaborating with teams to develop and implement effective resolution strategies that enhance site performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational issues, implementing effective solutions that drive efficiency
- Conduct thorough research to provide actionable insights that empower senior leadership in strategic decision-making
- Manage action items and deadlines, ensuring that team members are aware of their responsibilities and following up on progress
- Share meeting notes promptly with all relevant stakeholders and maintain a log of action items and their status to keep the team informed
- Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$71,800 - $138,200
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in operations
- Proven experience in site operations, data analysis, and project management
- Proficiency in operational software tools, managing and analyzing data, and strong skills in Microsoft Office programs for data analysis, report preparation, and presentation development
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
- General understanding of all functions associated with site operations, along with staying informed about site infrastructure, practices, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational standards
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitating, organizing, and contributing to high stakes strategic meetings involving senior management and directors from multiple centers
- Proven ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation that summarize findings, action items, and recommendations, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on project objectives
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values, including integrity, teamwork, and innovation, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills, familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and/or PMP certification is a plus
About Our Team:
The Partnership and Planning Department supports the mission by establishing long range planning & investment strategies and implementation plans. The team develops and maintains effective strategic customer partnerships and integrates Facilities and Infrastructure (F&I) plans into the investment and planning strategies. The team also provides space management, condition, and energy assessments of the facilities and site infrastructure.

Security Clearance:

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
