The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Louisville seeks to employ a student-centered professional to conduct outreach to community colleges and represent the University at various recruitment events. This position will review and adjudicate transfer and adult applicants for admission. As a counselor with the Transfer Services team, the successful candidate will assist in the development of the office's overall strategy for recruiting and supporting transfer students. This position advises, counsels and connects prospective students in person, virtually, over the phone, and via email with a variety of resources on campus including Financial Aid, Housing, and Advising. The role entails coordination and presentation of our Transfer Campus Visit Program. The Admission Counselor will also administer our National Transfer Scholarship, Regional Scholarship, KCTCS and Guaranteed Scholarship programs. This position will include in-state travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise, counsel, and inform prospective students, parents and others seeking information about the University.
Assist with review and admission decisions of applications for transfer, readmitted students, petition students, and continuing studies students.
Assist in the management of electronic recruitment and publication tools.
Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts to prospective transfer students in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Coordinate and participate in both off-campus and on-campus programs designed to introduce prospective students to the campus and other facets of the University.
Develop and maintain relationships with community college staff that include regular visits, communications, and arranging visits to U of L.
Administer transfer and adult scholarship programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Have strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Customer service experience
Microsoft Office
Slate or CRM experience
Experience in admissions, enrollment, education, or higher education
Target Compensation Maximum:
$27.85Target Compensation Minimum:
$18.56Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
