The Quality Assurance team for Cellular and Gene Therapy Operations is looking for a talentedQuality Assurance Associate I. You will be responsible for assisting the QA Manager and Senior QA Associate in achieving compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations and other accrediting agency requirements in the collection, processing, preparation, and distribution of biopharmaceutical products manufactured in the GMP facilities at City of Hope.
As a successful candidate, you will:
· Review production output batch records and assure that the proper procedures and processes have been used in the production prior to approval by QA Manager.
· Compile master production and control batch records and archive documents and assist in investigating deviations and writing reviews for events as well as support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
· Conduct external vendor audits and interact with internal COH departments (purchasing, safety etc) as directed and communicate with external vendors as directed, to co-ordinate release test activities, and materials processing.
· Participate in internal audits of QA, Manufacturing, or QC processes and assist with writing audit reports.
· Be on call list for critical equipment monitoring and respond to emergency calls as needed.
Your qualifications should include:
· Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or related field with 0-2years of experience. Bachelors with 2+ years of experience is preferred.
· Experience within Quality Assurance to include supporting biologics manufacturing, small molecule synthesis and/or GMP facility operations is preferred
· Experience within GMP, biosafety/chemical safety or equipment maintenance is preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.00 - $45.71 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
