Sarah Lawrence College invites applications for a full-time or half-time guest faculty position with a start date of fall 2025. The position is for the 2025-26 academic year and would require the successful candidate to be on campus 2-4 days a week, depending on whether they are working as a full or half-time guest faculty. Half-time teaching would be one seminar per semester (two days), and full-time would be two (four days). In both cases, the guest faculty would meet with students individually in bi-weekly conferences in addition to the regular seminar meetings.
Research and teaching interests for this position are open, however our preference is for someone whose research and teaching interests focus on the U.S.

Compensation for this position is on a per-course basis, contingent on teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should either be ABD or hold a Ph.D. in Sociology and have teaching experience of small seminars at the undergraduate level.
