Job Summary
The Director works collaboratively with the Deans, Department Chairs, and Program Coordinators, overseeing the policies that create, foster, and sustain excellence in all programs leading to certification. The Director will guide the development of policies and processes to support academic programs leading to accreditation and will ensure the recruitment, matriculation, graduation, and induction of outstanding graduates.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
ACCREDITATION SUPPORT: Assists in the educator preparation and counseling accreditation reporting activities and follow-up activities. Organize information and data to ensure accreditation compliance reports and documentation are completed according to stated requirements. Supports accreditation and assessment initiatives alignment with accreditation requirements, continuous improvement, and student success efforts. Assumes broad responsibility for assessment programs, including assessment validity, reliability, quality, and accuracy. Supports accreditation and assessment timelines, scheduling, submission, and documentation of assessment cycle milestones for all programs.
Collaborates with Associate Deans, EPP, Department Chairs, and faculty to develop key assessments to demonstrate standards-based performance as required by accreditation. Collaborates with other members of the Dean's Office to produce assessment reports for internal (i.e., college and university reporting) and external constituents (i.e., governing bodies).
EDUCATOR PREPARATION AND COUNSELING SUPPORT: Designs and facilitates professional development opportunities relating to assessment, accreditation, and electronic assessment management systems for students and faculty. Maintains relevancy and currency of web-based resource sites for candidates, faculty, and collaborating teachers. Provides leadership and support to faculty and programs regarding best practices in assessment design, implementation, and interpretation of reports and analysis to guide improvements. Works collaboratively with Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) and counseling faculty as well as students to advance assessment initiatives to meet accreditation expectations.
TECHNOLOGY AND RESOURCE SUPPORT: Assists students and faculty by providing instructional support and IT support as appropriate. Manages instructional resources and collaborates with the campus library.
DATA MANAGEMENT: Oversees the development and technical administration of Chalk and Wire, an electronic assessment system, and supervises student assistants and /or graduate assistant(s) when applicable. Maintains, manages, and supports all College of Education and Human Development web-based and technology resources (i.e., website maintenance, security, and online storefront).
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in an educational related field of study with a minimum of five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university of higher education in a field applicable to the job duties; examples include but are not limited to 1) Education Research, 2) Data Science, 3) Program Evaluation and assessment, 4)Measurement and Evaluation, 5)Instructional Technology, or 6)Information Technology.
Preferred Experience
Four years of education-related experience
Relevant experience in accreditation and assessment design in an education setting.
Experience with electronic assessment systems (e.g., Chalk and Wire, Banner, Crystal) and learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Desire2Learn).
Previous experience managing/supporting the preparation process for accreditation and/or compliance reviews.
Experience utilizing technology as an effective communication tool and providing technology-enhanced learning opportunities.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B12
Salary: Minimum $62,300/annual
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
