Job Description
---An academic tutor will be asked and expected to tutor student-athletes in various courses. All tutoring will take place in the McClendon Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and will range based on student-athlete need and tutor availability. Tutoring sessions will include 1-3 student-athletes and are expected to last 45 minutes.
Job Requirements
---Required Education: Athletics Tutors must meet the skills requirement below. Must attach transcript reflecting minimum grade requirement or degree earned.
Skills:

Musthave earned a B or higher in the specific course or have been award a degree in that area

Must be capable of tutoring the courses specified

Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate course material while engaging with our student-athletes in a positive manner

Must be willing and able to communicate and build relationships with a varied group of students

Must be willing and able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations

Must be willing and able to adhere to standards of conduct for Athletics Academics Tutorial Staff

- Must be able to communicate verbally, hear, and seeincluding color, depth perception and clarity
Supervision: None
Department Preferences:
- Experience working as a tutor for undergraduate or graduate students
- Experience working with a diverse group of students
- Working knowledge of university, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
