Facilities Services Division provides quality customer service by maintaining a safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment in which students, faculty, and staff can function and accomplish their educational objectives and by supporting a patient care culture that continuously improves. Facilities Services' responsibilities include Interior and Exterior Facilities Support, Construction, Space Management, and Environmental Services.
Job Summary
Responsible for maintenance and supervision of all grounds related duties and staff required for athletic facilities and structures on the university funded Forest Hills campus. Current responsibilities would include grounds maintenance for Golf Practice Range, Baseball Fields, Softball Field, Soccer Field, and grounds around the Christenberry Fieldhouse, Golf House, and Literacy center. Position will supervise sub contracted contract for landscape maintenance of University Village and Damascus Road property.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide hands-on maintenance, training and supervision for grounds/facility related tasks.
Organize scheduling of duties and supplies required.
Provide labor time accounting utilizing Maximo and financial accounting required for State of Georgia Purchasing Card.
Coordination with faculty user to assure customer satisfaction. Duty requires regular meeting with coaching staffs and building coordinator.
Organize equipment maintenance needs and schedules
Oversee and supervise contracted services
Supervises the landscaping and grounds contract at University Village Student Housing.
  • Ensures all maintenance and services are conducted in a timely manner and coordinated in advance with property management.
  • Ensures standards are maintained by written contract.

Performs any other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited college or university in related field. Five years' experience in grounds maintenance work including two years in a supervisory capacity, or any combination of experience and training.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Detail-oriented
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Certifications/License
Pesticide License 0024 category or better.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days: Monday-Friday
Pay Band: 7
Salary : $42,200/Annually - $50,112/Annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment

Driver's License Statement
The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the identified top candidate(s) for this position.
