Job Summary
The Student Services Specialist I processes applications for admission based on admissions requirements and manages documents through careful review, scanning, imaging, and indexing. They provide general data entry support in the student information system (Banner SIS) and customer relation management system (Slate CRM). They must pay significant attention to detail as they work to support the efficient, effective, and timely processing of prospect and applicant materials. This position is relied upon providing a student-focused customer service approach and an understanding of processes and systems. Additionally, they will assist in other areas of Undergraduate Admissions during peak times, such as but not limited to decisioning, tuition classification, transfer credit review, transcript evaluation, etc.
Responsibilities
APPLICATIONS: Process applications for all incoming students from multiple systems. Responsible for data entry into student information system as well as updating and maintaining all student information in appropriate university systems.
DATA ENTRY: Complete data entry and scanning of documents into Banner/SLATE and Xtender respectively.
FILES: Maintain student files by managing flow of documents, tracking transcripts, and updating checklists for all applicants and students.
REPORTS: Run reports to perform quality control checks on data entry as needed to check files and/or database for data accuracy and completeness of files.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: Perform special projects and temporary duties. Contribute to the overall success of Undergraduate Admissions by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with one year of administrative or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to individuals with experience in Banner SIS, SLATE CRM, Xtender imaging, reporting systems, transfer articulation or admission processing experience.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F
Pay Band: B2
Salary: $15.77/hourly-$17.75/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
