Head Coach - Mens Water Polo

The Head Coach is responsible for planning, administering and evaluating the overall operation of the Men's water polo program to include, but not limited to, team performance, supporting the academic achievement of student-athletes, recruiting, program management (eligibility certification, event management, scheduling, travel planning, budget management, equipment, athletic training, etc.), college and community service, supervision of assistant coaches and program personnel, fundraising and compliance. The Head Coach is responsible for ensuring that team performance is competitive within the West Coast Conference with the goal of achieving postseason competition.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree PREFERRED: Master's Degree
Experience: (years required and applicable field of experience): 5+ as a head or assistant coach at the college or olympic level
Skills/Abilities: (e.g. computer skills, written & verbal skills, trades, laws, procedures, technical) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of coaches, administrators and staff. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Proficiency with word software and database management. Team-oriented individual with the ability to take initiative. Ability to represent the Department and College in a professional manner to on and off campus constituencies, including alumni, friends, corporate partners and donors. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
Licenses & Certifications (e.g. CPA, RN, etc.): REQUIRED: CPR PREFERRED:
Other Requirements: (e.g. travel, weekend/evening work) Must be able to travel and work weekends and nights.
Salary Description $85,000 - $100,000 Annual
