CHRISTUS Children's, a world-class 240-bed freestanding children's hospital in San Antonio, serves as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children's.

Summary
The Division of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a PRN faculty position at CHRISTUS Children's as a Pediatric Hospitalist. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics.
Job Duties
Responsibilities include the provision of hospital care to pediatric inpatients, including overnight coverage; consultations and co-management of sub-specialty, surgical, and psychiatric pediatric patients; pediatric sedation; teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff; active involvement in inpatient quality, safety, and administrative activities; and protected time for academic/scholarly activities in clinical informatics, outcomes research, child advocacy, education, or quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
• MD/DO degree.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).
• BE/BC in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
